ADHD assessment and treatment

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common neurodevelopmental condition characterised by some or all of the following features: hyperactivity, inattentiveness and impulsivity. Children whose ADHD is undiagnosed or untreated can have significant difficulties at home and school if their needs are not met.

Dr Oxley offers high quality structured diagnostic assessment pathways for ADHD in line with the DSM-5 (The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5th Edition). She takes time to listen and collate information from multiple sources including you, your child and school. Following completion of the assessment, Dr Oxley will meet with you and your child to explain the conclusion of the assessment and make recommendations for your child. You will also receive a detailed clinical report.

Dr Oxley works in a holistic manner and can offer recommendations and strategies for your child. She works closely with the family and professional network to support your child to thrive.
